On Christmas Eve, Kaitlin and I made a gingerbread cake and some Snickerdoodle cookies for Santa. Kaitlin really did a great job with the cookies, but I was already tired and stressed and not feeling great, so I wasn't exactly the model of patience and love during the process. Fortunately, she's only 2 and won't remember it :)
I am very thankful that I was able to spend Christmas day at home with Keven, Kaitlin, Simba, and Harley. Even though our little man isn't due until the end of January, my body seems to be making progress towards delivery a bit early and I was very worried that I would end up in the hospital for Christmas. Fortunately, I am still pregnant. I really don't want him to have a birthday too close to Christmas! We're hoping he'll at least make it to January, but are starting to accept that it might not happen.
We had a very fun day even though it took 7 hours to finally open all of Kaitlin's presents. She wanted to get everything out and play with it as soon as she opened it. Mommy and Daddy just wanted to open all the gifts and then play! Kaitlin seemed to like all of her gifts and was especially excited about her new trampoline - that girl loves to jump! I didn't get pictures of all her gifts because the process was so was broken up, but here are a few. She really got a kick out of us taking pictures of each other! We are looking forward to my mom's visit tomorrow and more presents to open.
The slideshow doesn't seem to be working so here's a link to the album:
