See Me Grow - Part 4

We're a little late in taking the monthly picture of Harley and Kaitlin, but here it is - better late than never! You might notice that Kaitlin is actually sitting up a little more in the latest picture than in the others. She's not sitting on her own yet, but I have a feeling it will be very soon!

I've Got Skills

We found Kaitlin asleep on her stomach this morning. That's the first time she has rolled over on her own since before Christmas. It must have been comfortable because she slept an hour later than she usually does!

Voting to Close Soon

We have decided to close voting on the poll on January 23 (Kaitlin's 5-month birthday). So, if you haven't already placed your vote for who you think Kaitlin looks most like, you'd better do it fast! Disney World

Kaitlin took her first trip to Disney World this past weekend (I'm sure it is the first of many). Keven ran the Disney Marathon on Sunday so the whole family went down to cheer him on. Mom Mom, Pop Pop, and Kohl even met us there. We never made it into any of the parks, but we had a good time at the marathon expo, playing miniature golf, and eating at Downtown Disney. And of course we were all very proud of Keven for running his first marathon! His time was 3:49:47 and he placed 873 out of 12,964 finishers. Not bad!

Too Cool...

Kaitlin is too cool in her limo stroller and shades! Yes, it's January and she is wearing short sleeves. Today was a gorgeous day with highs in the 70s! It was too beautiful not to get outside for a walk.

Tummy Time

Kaitlin is getting stronger and is able to tolerate "tummy time" for a little bit longer. On Friday, she played on her tummy for about ten minutes on her activity mat before complaining. She is even starting to "swim" a little and seems to actually enjoy it!

Christmas in Virginia

This year we traveled to Virginia to spend Christmas with the Kidd family. It was lots of fun and Kaitlin enjoyed visiting with her Grandma, Aunt Kim, Uncle Rich, and Sarah. She also got to see Nick and Zach for a little while! We missed having Uncle Scott with us this year.

On Christmas Eve we went to the mall to get some pictures taken. We were hoping to get pictures of Sarah and Kaitlin together, as well as of my mom with Sarah and Kaitlin. Unfortunately, Sarah decided she did not want her picture taken. We got a nice shot of all the Kidd ladies, one of my mom and Kaitlin, and some great shots of Kaitlin!




On Christmas morning we all gathered at the Bartlett house to open presents and eat cinnamon rolls. Christmas is very different with children!

Auburn Christmas

Since we travel for Christmas, Santa stopped by our house a few days early. He knew how difficult it would be for us to carry everything back from Virginia. Here are some pictures from our family Christmas at home.

Kaitlin's 4-Month Checkup

Kaitlin had her 4-month checkup with the doctor this morning. She weighed in at 12 pounds 14 ounces and is 24 1/4 inches long. The doctor said her growth is right on track and she looks marvelous. Some of her her accomplishments since I last posted include: grabbing her feet, grabbing toys and other objects, putting just about everything in her mouth, and eating rice cereal!

We are a little behind in posting Christmas pictures because our computer is broken and we aren't able to download them. Hopefully it will be fixed this week and we'll be able to get caught up. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year!! We are looking forward to all that 2008 has in store for us.
